FAVORITE PART OF HOMESCHOOL: by Amber

This morning we got up at around 6:45am and went to the Flap for our last breakfast with our family and friends. Then we loaded up the last bit of cargo into the RV…And we’re off!

It’s 11:00am and it’s been 3 hours. At school me and my little brother have to call mom “Mrs. Mom.” We have to get up at 7:30am and school starts at 8:00am. My favorite part is that every day is “Bring Your Pet To School Day!”

Today we did Math, English, Social Studies and Music (I taught Tyler how to play a new song on his recorder). Now I can’t wait for what’s in store for tomorrow!

1st DAY ON TRIP: by Tyler

I woke up good and fast this morning because it was the day of the trip!!! I had breakfast with some of my friends (actually relatives). I left at 8:00 and it’s 11:00 right now. We are going in three states today! Our plan today is to drive through Michigan, a little bit of Indiana, Illinios, and we are sleeping close to the Iowa border.

Tomorrow is the day!

Right now I have “to do” lists to keep track of my “to do” lists. Many people dream about “someday” but our calendars get so busy that hopes and dreams get pushed aside…

Hilary wrote a paper a few weeks ago for school. Her thesis statement is proof that her parents are rubbing off on her. “In life there is room for mistakes, just not regrets.”

While this has been a lot of work and planning, and knowing we will miss our loved ones so much, I know we never regret the time spent with our children, and the sacrifices made to make it happen. This is a gift for them.
